2 Questions that will Transform your 2025

I know your inbox is probably overflowing with messages—some wishing you a Happy 2025 and others telling you what to do next. But I’d like to offer you something a little different (at least, I hope it is): a couple of questions to get you thinking.

1. How could I completely wreck 2025?

It might sound a bit nuts, but this is called Inversion Thinking, and trust me, it’s a game changer.

Instead of getting caught up in trying to be productive and smashing through your daily to-do list, flip it around. Picture what total failure looks like. Yep, complete disaster.

I know it feels strange, but here’s the magic: when you map out how things could go wrong, you suddenly spot all the traps waiting to trip you up. And once you see them, you can steer clear and focus on what really matters.

It’s weirdly brilliant—try it and see!

2.  What would I do if I had no Fear?
This one has changed my life many times.

  • At 22, I found myself abandoned by my boyfriend in East Timor, freshly bald after shaving my head, boarding a cargo-style ship crammed with thousands of Indonesian men. It was terrifying—completely out of my depth—but it turned out to be the beginning of an incredible journey.
That moment sparked a path that led me to live in Indonesia for 12 years, have two children, and build what would become a successful clothing company from the ground up. It was a wild, challenging ride, but one that shaped who I am today.

  • Markus, my husband, is passionate about sailing and incredibly experienced. After we had Xavier, he somehow convinced me to sell everything we owned, pack up our lives, and take a newborn, a 6-year-old, and a 9-year-old to the Caribbean. There, we’d bought a sailing yacht, and the plan was to spend a couple of years sailing it back home. Once we were out at sea, it hit me just how massive this undertaking really was. There were unforgettable moments of joy and freedom, but also some truly awful times that tested every ounce of my resilience. Yet, looking back, those years shaped me in ways I could never have imagined.

  • Taking my yoga business online and starting yoga retreats began with a leap of faith. Twelve years ago, while visiting family in Bali with the kids, I rode my bike up a road in Ubud near where we were staying. I spotted a lovely hotel, wandered in out of curiosity, and that night I advertised my first yoga retreat to Bali—without the faintest idea of who might be interested.  Moving my yoga practice online came from a similarly spontaneous moment. Nearly eight years ago, when no one was really using Zoom, a client asked if I could teach her over the internet. It sounded crazy at the time, but I gave it a go. Little did I know where that experiment would lead! Both experiences taught me the power of saying “yes” to possibilities, even when they seem uncertain.

Fear has been one of my greatest teachers. Every single time I’ve leaned into it—really leaned in—my world has shifted, and always for the better.

These two questions aren’t just theory. They’re hard-won, real-world tested, and they work. But here’s the catch: they only work if you’re brave enough to answer them with absolute honesty.

NOW IT'S YOUR TURN

Before you dive into writing your resolutions or planning the year ahead, sit with these two questions:

  1. How could I completely wreck 2025?

  2. What would I do if I had absolutely no fear?

Be brutally honest with yourself, and I promise you’ll gain clarity about your future like never before. It’s not easy—but then again, the best things rarely are.
