What I learnt on my Bali Retreat
Hi Everyone,
I'm thrilled to be back from our recent Bali Retreat! This was my 8th retreat in Bali, but it held special significance as our first one since the covid-19 pandemic. The experience was nothing short of amazing.
What I Discovered on My Bali Retreat
It was on this Bali Retreat that I realised what I have created. There are so many Yoga Retreats in Bali; everyone is running them. But what I realized, or more what this amazing group of women shared with me and made me aware of, is that there is only one retreat that has these unique elements. Run by someone who has taught yoga for over 30 years, who grew up in her 20s in Bali for 12 years, whose first two kids are half Indonesian, and who speaks the language fluently. Only one.
Having lived in Bali for 12 years, I’ve witnessed many changes on the island, and yes, it has become busier. But the essence of Bali remains the same – the serene landscapes, the rich culture, and the incredible calmness of its people continue to inspire me. This last retreat was especially inspiring, reaffirming my passion for sharing this beautiful place with others. Seeing everyone’s growth and the connections formed during the week has motivated me to now host two retreats a year in Bali.
Throughout the week, we immersed ourselves in a transformative journey. Each day started and ended with two hours of yoga, totaling four hours of practice daily. At first, a few of the ladies were apprehensive about the intensity, unsure if they could keep up. By the end of the retreat, they were amazed at their own progress and endurance.
Given the success and the overwhelming positive feedback, I’m excited to announce that we’re planning another retreat this year in October! Who’s coming along? Here’s why you should join:
Beautiful Practice Environment: Bali offers a stunning backdrop for yoga, enhancing your practice with its serene and natural beauty.
Deepen Your Yoga Knowledge: The retreat reignites your passion for yoga, providing new insights and techniques.
Wonderful Community: It’s incredible how a week on a yoga retreat can turn a group of strangers into lifelong friends.
Seamless Organization: With Amber’s impeccable attention to detail, every aspect of the retreat runs smoothly, allowing you to focus on your practice.
Self-Care: More than anything, you deserve this time away to recharge and reconnect with yourself.
Cultural Immersion: It’s not just about yoga. We immerse ourselves in the local culture with activities like a cooking class, bike ride, and temple visit, all organized by Amber, who lived in Bali for 12 years.
Expert Guidance: There isn’t a better person to guide you. Amber is an amazing yoga teacher who also knows and understands the culture deeply – plus, she speaks the language fluently.
