Four Questions to ask yourself around self reflection
I don't know about you, but I am still trying to grasp that it is October; I feel still stuck back in July, to be honest.
Over the last weekend, I decided to do a little bit of self-reflection myself. Often we wait for the end of the year or the beginning of the following year to do this. But, not being one that follows trends or rules mainly, I spent most of my Sunday with Journal and pen in hand and reflected on this year so far. I love this because it opens up the opportunity to pause, untangle your thoughts, and hold space for yourself. Something as you know I am all about.
So, it's your turn now, and It's Time to REFLECT. -
Let's start with what do I mean by that? At its simplest, reflection is about careful thought. Reflection allows the brain to pause amidst the chaos, untangle and sort through stuff!!! It is about questioning, in a positive way, what you do and why you do it and then deciding whether there is a better or more efficient way of doing it in the future.
So to help you reflect, here are four questions that I invite you to ask yourselves over this beautiful week ahead.
Am I using my Time Wisely? - We all know Time is precious. It is about questioning, in a positive way, what you do and why you do it and then deciding whether there is a better or more efficient way of doing it in the future.
Am I waking up in the morning ready to take on the day? - The first thought of the day is a massive indicator of your general level of happiness. We all have days that we don't look forward to, but if you find yourself not wanting to get out of bed day after day, and if you know why that is, it's Time to take action.
Am I letting matters that are out of my control stress me out? - This is a good one. Make sure to continuously identify your stress factors and eliminate any worries about things you can't control.
Am I taking anything for granted? - Even at our lowest lows, we may have the support of family or friends, a roof over our head or skills that we ought to take pride in. We're naturally forward-looking, which may blind us to our present circumstances. We ought to take a moment now and again to look at what we have around us and be grateful.
So there you go. Have a wonderful Week
